SAN JOSE, CA (January 18, 2013) – When do people flock to a restaurant when they don’t know what they’re eating, who they’ll be eating with or even where they’re going? The answer is February 5th, 2013, when the social dining group Mystery Meet hosts its first dinner at an undisclosed location in San Jose.
Tickets are available only available by signing up for the email invitation that will be sent out on January 29th. But even for people who purchase tickets, the location of the dinner won’t be revealed until 24 hours in advance. However, there are a few clues are posted at http://mysterymeet.org/san-jose:
- Mr. Rebar’s Christmas trees.
- Spielberg, Lewis, Field.
- Beer of the cats.
This is the first dinner for the San Jose chapter of Mystery Meet, which hosts similar events in San Francisco, Boston and Seattle.
Mystery Meet is a social dining group that unites foodies in a quest to discover new restaurants. Food lovers are invited to attend this dinner with friendly strangers who share their passion for fine food, but there’s a catch…they don’t find out where they’re going until 24 hours in advance.
Mystery Meet began as series of dinners in Boston in 2010. The dining experiences attract adventurous foodies of all ages. The group does not focus on dating or business networking; instead, it is an opportunity for culinary tastemakers to meet others who share their passion for great restaurants.
